Prof. Dr. Adnan Gökçel was born in 1966 in Mersin. He graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty in 1991. He completed his residency in Internal Diseases at Haydarpaşa Numune Hospital in 1998 and then he specialized in Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases at Başkent University and became an associate professor in 2004. Adnan Gökçel, who worked at Acıbadem Kadıköy Hospital from 2006 to 2014, after working at the American hospital between 2005-2006, opened his own clinic in order to provide better service to his patients. He is married and has two children. Gökçel speaks English.
