I was born in Istanbul in 1974. After completing my primary school education in Faik Reşit Unat Primary School, I was entitled to study at Istanbul (Boys) High School after the Anatolian High Schools exam.
I graduated from this school in 1992 and started my medical education at Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine (in Capa) the same year. I voluntarily took part in emergency shifts during my medical school student years. I worked as an active member of the student scientific research branch (ÖBAK) operating within DETAM, and also actively participated in Çapa underwater sports, photography, AIDS combat arms and in the trekking group we established.
In 1993 and 1994, he voluntarily served as the director of Regensburg University in Germany during the summer term. Dr. I worked as an intern at the Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery Clinic of Dietrich Birnbaum.
After the specialty examination in medicine in 1998, the academic staff of Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin İrfanoğlu, Prof. Dr. Aydın Altan, Prof. Dr. Zeki Hoşcoşkun, Prof. Dr. İrfan Coşkun and Prof. Dr. I was entitled to receive specialty training in Trakya University Faculty of Medicine, Department of General Surgery, composed of Ahmet R. Hatipoğlu.
In 2000, he volunteered as director in Aachen, Germany. Dr. I worked as a visiting doctor in the Surgical Clinic of the RWTH University Faculty of Medicine by Volker Schumpelick.
In 2004, I completed my general surgery residency training in Trakya University Faculty of Medicine, Department of General Surgery, with my thesis titled "The effect of intra-bladder pressure measurement method in acute abdomen cases" and was accepted to the specialist staff in the same clinic.
Between 2005 and 2006, I completed my compulsory military service as a General Surgery Specialist Medical Lieutenant at Hakkari Mountain Commando Brigade Military Hospital. Within the framework of the internal security operations applied during this period, I served the local people by performing emergency surgical operations with special assignments besides military personnel and their relatives.
Opened in 2006 in Trakya University Faculty of Medicine Department of General Surgery, Asst. Assoc. I was accepted by applying to the staff.
In 2008, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Çoker, Assoc. Dr. Murat Kılıç and Assoc. Dr. I worked as a visiting doctor at Ege University Faculty of Medicine, Department of General Surgery, Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgery and Liver Transplantation Unit consisting of Murat Zeytunlu.
In 2009, he was awarded the scholarship of the German Surgical Association and served as the director of the Charite University Rudolf Virchow campus in Berlin, Germany for 3 months. Dr. Professor of General Surgery and Transplantation Clinic conducted by Peter Neuhaus and also director of the Benjamin Franklin campus of the same university. Dr. I worked as a visiting doctor in the General and Visceral Surgery clinic built by H. Johannes Buhr.
In 2011, I succeeded in the exam organized by the interuniversity committee, and I was entitled to the title of Associate Professor of General Surgery and was appointed to the Associate Professor position at the Trakya University Faculty of Medicine General Surgery Department.
Between 2012-2014, his staff was Prof. Dr. Yaman Tekant and Prof. Dr. I worked as a visiting doctor at Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine (Capa) General Surgery Department, Liver, Biliary Tract Surgery & Liver Transplantation Unit consisting of İlgin Özden.
In 2014, I was accepted by applying to the associate professor staff of Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine General Surgery Department, Liver Biliary Tract Surgery & Liver Transplantation Unit. On 20.02.2018, I was appointed to the professor staff of Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, Department of General Surgery (in Capa). I still continue to work in the same unit.
In November 2019, I was elected as a member of the Board of Directors for 2 years at the General Assembly of the Turkish HPB Surgery Association with the votes of the members. I am currently the General Secretary of the Turkish HPB Surgery Association.
