He was born on February 1, 1959 in Ankara. He completed his Medical Education at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1983 as the first of the term.
In the same year, he won Hacettepe University Student Science and Encouragement Award, İhsan Doğramacı Award, and the Ministry of Health's 60th Year Achievement Award. In 1985, the Ministry of Health Examination Center Specialized Internal Medicine was the first in Turkey. He completed his Internal Medicine and Nephrology specialties in Hacettepe Medical Faculty Internal Medicine Department and Nephrology Department. He became an associate professor in 1992 and a professor in 1999.
Dr. Nurol Arık, who is currently a lecturer at Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Nephrology, has over 40 published books, over 50 international publications and over 200 national publications in the field of clinical nephrology and hypertension. Dialysis and Hypertension are his special interests.
