Prof. Dr. Zuhal Yapıcı is a graduate of Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine. While working as a neurology assistant, in order to increase her knowledge and experience in Child Neurology in the United States of America

In 1997, he started to work in Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, Department of Neurology, Child Neurology Unit. In the following years, he went back to the United States to continue his research:
- In 2002, UT Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Neurology, Division of Child Neurology
- In 2004, she conducted research at Wake Forest University, Department of Neurology, Section of Pediatric Neurology.
She completed his Pediatric Neurology Specialization at IU, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, Department of Neurology, and became Associate Professor in 2006 and Professor in 2012. Under the Department of Neurology, Prof. Dr. Pediatric neurology, which was previously established as a section by Hıfzı Özcan, was later established by Prof. Dr. Hıfzı Özcan and Prof. Dr. It was transformed into a unit by Mefkure Eraksoy. Dr. Yapıcı led the establishment of the Division of Child Neurology under the Department of Neurology at the Istanbul Faculty of Medicine on 17.08.2011 and is still the head of the department.
Dr. Zuhal Yapıcı established the 'Translational Neurodevelopmental Medicine Doctorate Program' under the Department of Neurology at the Istanbul Faculty of Medicine on 04.04.2018, and was appointed as the doctoral program manager on 15.05.2018.
On July 10, 2018, she established the "Tuberosclerosis Unit" within the Istanbul Medical Faculty.
