Prof. Dr. Özcan Yıldız was born in 1971 in Hamburg, Germany. He did clinical internship in the branches of radiation oncology, endocrinology, cardiology, gastroenterology and psychiatry in the UK for a total of 6 months in 1992, 93 and 94. In 1995, he graduated from IU Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty. He worked as an Internal Diseases Research Assistant at the Ministry of Health Taksim Education and Research Hospital between 1996 and 2001, and as an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at Düzce University between 2001 and 2008.
Between 2003 and 2006, he worked as an Assistant of IU Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty Medical Oncology Department. He worked at Toronto University Princess Margaret Hospital in 2007, as a Medical Oncology Specialist at the Ministry of Health Ali Osman Sönmez Oncology Hospital between 2008 and 2010, and as a Medical Oncology Specialist at IU Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine between 2010 and 2012.
English-speaking Prof. Dr. Özcan Yıldız has been serving in the Medical Oncology department of Medipol Mega Hospital since 2012.
