Prof. Dr. Turgut GÖKSOY; He was born in 1954 in Izmit. He graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1977 . He received his Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation specialty from the same faculty in 1981. He completed his military service in Erzincan Military Hospital in 1981-82. In 1985, he became Associate Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine. Between 1988-1992,he gave lectures on Sports and Medicine as a lecturer atMarmara UniversityPhysical Education and Sports Department. He also served as a thesis advisor and jury member for graduate students. "Centenary University" in
1996He started working as a professor at the Faculty of Medicine, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Here, he served as a member of the faculty board, head of the rheumatology department and the head of the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation department. These duties at the Faculty of Medicine ended in 2002 due to his retirement.
In 2013, he became a faculty member at the newly opened Istanbul Esenyurt University Faculty of Health Sciences. He still continues this scientific mission.

Between 1977 and 2016, he worked as a delegate of more than 100 articles, book chapters and oral presentations, poster presentation, panel presentation, conference and congress delegation published in national and international magazines on various topics, and also in nearly 70 national and international congresses.
Between 1986-1988 "Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Association" II. He was the chairman. In addition to various scientific association activities, he was the editor of the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Journal for 2 years. Between 1987-1990, he was the director of the Acupuncture Association and worked as the editor of the journal Acupuncture. He is also a member of the editorial board of many scientific journals. He was the editor of the Eastern Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation journal published between 1996-2002.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Prof. Dr. Turgut Göksoy has 3 siblings. Prof. dr. Ertuğrul Göksoy is the head of General Surgery Department at Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty. His sister, Ph. Cavidan Göksoy, has a doctorate in the field of art history, and his other brother, Vildan Göksoy, is a dentist and periodontologist with double gum disease. His elder son is 37 years old (Doğan Göksoy) and married (Sibel) and he has an 8-year-old grandson (Nazlı). Her daughter is married to Elif Ceyda (29) İnanç Oltulugil and works in a private school as the Head of the French Department. Alp Turgut Göksoy, his youngest son, is 21 years old and is in the 4th grade at Arizona State University. His wife is a retired teacher.
It has established many private health institutions in the field of health, including clinics, polyclinics, medical centers, and hospitals. He has a practice in Physical Therapy in Suadiye.
